At Dorie’s Promise, our goal for 2025 is to ensure every child in our care receives comprehensive, personalized education tailored to their needs. We’ve structured our plans into three core programs: Early Stimulation, Montessori, and the Homeschool Program, each designed to shape the future of our children by addressing their unique needs and preparing them for lifelong success.
Early Stimulation Program
This program, designed for children up to age three, focuses on key developmental milestones such as motor skills, language therapy, and psychomotricity (the connection between cognitive functions and physical movement). Many children arrive at Dorie’s Promise with developmental delays that impact speech, social skills, and academic progress. By providing safe, engaging activities and individualized support, we aim to build a strong foundation for their future learning. These early interventions are critical for overcoming developmental challenges and equipping children with the skills they need to thrive in later stages of education and life.
Montessori Program
Based on the Montessori philosophy, this program emphasizes self-directed learning, independence, and hands-on exploration. In our specially designed Montessori space, children make their own choices, fostering curiosity and confidence. This approach not only builds academic skills but also cultivates emotional intelligence by teaching children how to manage frustration, cooperate with peers, and resolve conflicts. By empowering children to take ownership of their learning, we prepare them to become independent thinkers and problem-solvers who are well-equipped for future challenges.
Nine children also attend a nearby school, which enhances their social skills and complements our in-house Montessori approach. This combination creates a well-rounded educational experience that supports both academic and personal growth, ensuring our children are ready for the next steps in their educational journeys.
Homeschool Program
The homeschool program, a government-certified distance learning system, allows children to progress at their own pace with guidance from our educational staff. This program identifies each child’s strengths and areas for improvement, adapting to special learning needs while teaching responsibility and time management. These skills are essential for building independence and preparing children for the demands of adulthood.
Adolescents in the program develop essential skills like goal setting and independent study, preparing them to excel in higher education or vocational pursuits. Additionally, Maria, Nayeli, and Yiré attend a private school, recommended for children with advanced academic independence. All children receive personalized tutoring and dedicated study spaces for homework, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to achieve their full potential.
