It’s that time of the month again, the time when we celebrate our birthday kids! We’re excited to share a little update about each of July’s birthday kids!
In July, we celebrated two very special boys—Emanuel and Josue.
🎂 Emanuel
Three years ago, Emanuel and his older brother Omar came to live at Dorie’s Promise. Both boys are part of our foster care program while the court searches for a family resource to care for them. Although he was a bit delayed in his speech and language skills, with the help of Miss Jenny and our other staff, he’s made great progress. Even during distance learning, he’s doing a great job in school and loves to do his homework. Emanuel is also a wonderful artist. He especially loves to draw and paint his favorite characters. For a boy who loves dessert, his giant birthday cake was a very special treat!

🎂 Josue
Josue has been with us for most of his life. Watching him grow has been an absolute joy. He’s the perfect mix—part caring and compassionate friend, another part crazy video-game champ and soccer star. He also loves technology. Attending class on the computer is fun for him. Of course, video games are more fun but he loves to use the computer either way. He’s especially thankful to be part of our big family because he always has someone to play with.
