Reach Out Missions trips are all about serving and building relationships with families and children searching for a little joy and hope in their lives.
Your experience serving with us will leave your life and those you serve forever changed. Forever Changed International is committed to serving in Guatemala in two powerful ways:
Dorie’s Promise orphan care home

Dorie’s Promise orphan care home has been serving children for more than 10 years. We provide love and hope to each and every child that lives with us until they can find a permanent loving family to call their own. Unfortunately, in December 2007 adoptions closed in Guatemala, leaving thousands of children to make an orphanage their permanent home.
On a Reach Out Missions trip you will spend time building relationships with the children of Dorie’s Promise as well as helping our team to keep our building and property clean and safe for the children.
Find out more about the children of Dorie’s Promise and take time to read our missions handbook, which gives a detailed account of what you will be doing while in Guatemala.
Community Outreach
So many of the children we receive in our home come from some of the most impoverished areas that you could ever imagine. During your time in Guatemala, you will have the opportunity to serve these communities. We will schedule a week full of ministry opportunities within the ghetto, garbage dump, and other orphanages.
Accommodations/Transportation/Meals

All participants stay on-site at Dorie’s Promise in our guest house. We are able to sleep 20 adults in our home. If your team is to travel outside of Guatemala City for the night, you will be staying in a hotel.
All food is prepared by a local catering company and brought in for team meal times. We do ask that teams help with preparation and clean up after meals.
Transportation is provided for teams throughout the duration of your trip. We rent a vehicle that will accommodate your group’s size.
