Forever Changed Coffee - FAQ’s
Why are you selling coffee?
Forever Changed International is selling coffee for several reasons. One reason is that we have been trying to figure out how to get his coffee to the U.S. for a long time! Nearly all of our coffee drinking visitors rave about the El Injerto beans we use. We want them to have it again, and if you haven’t had it, we want you to try it.
On a deeper, much more important level, we are always striving to make life better for our children here at Dorie’s Promise. We have access to delicious coffee, and selling that coffee will enable us to do more for kids who have already known greater struggle in their short lives than most of us ever will. We love our children. They are our motivation.
I’m sold! When will my coffee ship?
We will ship your coffee as soon as possible once we receive your order. We roast small batches of 20lbs at a time and try to ship them to you within days of your order.
Remember that USPS and FedEx include only regular weekdays in their delivery time. Please factor Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays into your shipping schedule.
Who will be roasting my coffee?
Forever Changed Coffee will be roasted by Zaidalia Roasters in Philomath, OR. Don’t worry, your coffee is in capable, caring hands. Not only have they learned the craft from master roasters, but they only use fair trade and organic beans. So you can be sure that the coffee not only helps our children, but the farmers as well.
Will you sell any green coffee?
As of right now, our only plan is to sell roasted coffee. If that should change, we’ll let you know.
Will you offer any flavored coffees?
The simple answer is ’no.’ We won’t be adding anything extra to our coffee. However, our El Injerto beans have a flavor all their own. Everyone who drinks it agrees–no extra flavoring is needed!
How much coffee can I buy?
As much as you want! Keep in mind, though, we have a limited amount–only 150 pounds total.
How much does Forever Changed Coffee cost?
Our coffee costs $25 per pound (no bulk discounts available). If that seems like a lot, consider that Guatemalan beans are some of the best in the world! For instance, some of the finest breakfast blends available use Guatemalan beans. A comparable pound from a coffee shop would likely cost you $20.
Additionally, all the proceeds from Forever Changed Coffee go to support our children (that’s why their smiling faces are on the package)! I think you will agree at $25 is well worth it.
How long will my coffee last?
While we are confident you will drink our coffee quickly (it’s that delicious), we realize you may want to save some. Many coffee experts believe you should use your beans within two weeks of roasting, otherwise they start losing some of their flavor. We believe that is a good rule of thumb. Ultimately, though, it’s up to you!
How should I store my coffee?
Your best bet is to seal your coffee beans in something airtight. It needs to stay relatively cool as well, so keep that in mind when you choose your storage place. Not a fridge or freezer–that’s too cold! Coffee beans also absorb odors, so don’t put them in a container with a strong smell (i.e. one that still smells of food, or nearly any metal container).
Of course, you can also feel free to keep your beans in our beautifully designed Forever Changed Coffee bag. That way every time you make a pot you will remember where your $25 went.
How do I return my coffee?
Given the quality of our coffee, it’s unlikely you’ll want to! I’m sorry to say, though, that there is simply no way to return your coffee. It is perishable. If for some reason you can’t finish your pound of coffee, share it with a friend. Introduce them to the work of Forever Changed International over a morning cup!
If you are dissatisfied for some reason, please do let us know. While we can’t offer a return, we don’t want you to have a bad experience with us. We’ll help if at all possible.
